Part 1. Positioning

If you don’t have a lot of job experience you will want to get the most out of your non-commercial work experience.

All of us have done babysitting, mowed lawns; shoveled snow, helped out a teacher on special projects.   Let’s “re-position” these experiences for the purpose of building a better application.

Now let’s reposition those experiences to make them sound more business-like.  You can use the church leader or neighbor or whomever you have worked for as your contact or supervisor.  Describe your experiences baby-sitting as childcare.   Mowing lawns can become landscaping.  Odd jobs can be personal assistant.    Get the idea?   Give your valuable experiences the credit they deserve.

One of the best ways to boost your employability is to become Certified Job Ready, through a good career readiness program like the one at the website   Jobreadinesscertification.com

Job Readiness Certification is being offered to 4blackyouth.com readers for a special price of just $19.99 for a limited time only, so check it out.     Click here for Job Readiness Certification
